Dead Strip/Beetle/ReadoutSector Definitions

OK

• Strip is OK
• enum value is 0

Open

• Strip is interupted
• If the interupt is on the sensor closest to the hybrid no signal can be seen.
• If it is a later sensor some signal may be seen
• enum value is 1

Short

• Two adjacent strips are shorted
• Signal will be seen, but with worse S/N and resolution
• enum value is 2

Pinhole

• Between implant and Al on the sensor
• Strip works fine before irradiation
• When irradiated dies as leakage current increases
• enum value is 3

ReadoutProblems

• Channel is not readout [digitizer board or tell1 problem]
• enum value is 4

NotBonded

• The channel is not bonded to the Beetle
• enum value is 5

LowGain

• Channel gives low signal
• enum value is 6

Noisy

• Channel has large noise
• enum value is 7

OtherFault

• Strip is dead for unknown reasons
• enum value is 9

Dead

• As a door-nail
• enum value is 10
